LEED Green Associate:
Contractor Training & Exam Prep.

$350.00

Contractors play a critical role in helping project teams achieve a LEED certification – a role that has historically been overlooked or undervalued. In fact, attention to LEED-related opportunities during the construction phase can help exceed initial LEED project goals, and create opportunities for financial savings and positive project publicity.

Custom-designed for contractors by contractors, this workshop explains the core concepts within the USGBC’s LEED certification program, and helps participants effectively navigate the many documents referenced by LEED rating systems.

Through interactive learning and real-world construction project examples, participants will gain skills that are immediately applicable in the field, as well as the knowledge to confidently take the LEED Green Associate exam.

As a result of participating in this course, attendees will be able to:

  • Understand synergistic opportunities and LEED application process,
  • List project site factors,
  • Describe water types, quality, and management strategies,
  • Recognize project systems and energy impacts,
  • Explain acquisition, installation and management of project materials,
  • Discuss stakeholder involvement in innovation,
  • Cite examples of project surroundings and public outreach,
  • Correctly apply for and be eligible to take the LEED Green Associate exam.

The LEED Green Associate credential has recently become a requirement for some projects, demonstrating an individual understands green building practices and can effectively support the pursuit of a project’s LEED goals.
