SYMPOSIUM IS OFFERED FREE AS A PUBLIC SERVICE

TO THE ARTS COMMUNITY

Content is focused on nonprofit  arts organizations; open to individual artists and informal arts groups.

Seating is limited so registration is required for this free event. 
(A boxed lunch will be offered for a charge of $12 or you may bring your lunch.)

**Registration will close automatically at capacity. If registration is closed and you would like to be placed on the waitlist, please call the SMAC Office at (916) 808-3992. The waitlist closes at Noon on Friday, March 18, 2011. **

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Morning session includes federal grants workshop by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) with Congresswoman Doris Matsui
  • Key note address by Kay Sprinkel Grace, founder and principal of Transforming Philanthropy--The Boundaries of Risk:  Daring to Dream in the Arts
  • Afternoon includes break-out sessions on various timely arts industry topics, private funders panel followed by an opportunity to meet  with local funders one-on-one
  • Get up-to-date information on the Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission's new programs, grants and opportunities for artists and arts groups
  • Artists and arts organizations visit with and collect information on grants and services from local support groups
