Matt Stonestreet

Matthew Stonestreet focuses his practice of law on a wide array of litigation aspects involving civil and criminal matters, with an emphasis on consumer and privacy law.  Prior to joining the Giatras Law Firm, Mr. Stonestreet enjoyed serving the public as Assistant Attorney General in the Consumer and Antitrust Division.  Matthew grew up in Bluefield, WV and loves working and living in his home state with an emphasis and heart for public interest law. He initially attended Wheaton College and finished his undergraduate studies as a 2007 Summa Cum Laude graduate of Concord University.  Matthew has been awarded a New Lawyer Excellence Award by the national American Association for Justice, a the WVAJ Consumer Advocacy Award, and also received a Pound Appellate Advocacy Award Nomination for his work on data breach cases. He is a SuperLawer as well.  However, he did not buy the SuperLawyer plaque for 300 dollars. More recently, Matthew has been appointed class action counsel in more than 15 cases, litigated many more national class actions a peon, and his last three criminal trials each ended in not guilty verdicts.  He enjoys very much the opportunity to continue enthusiastically and energetically serving the people of West Virginia and other jurisdictions.
