Insight Prison Project and OneCalifornia Bank invite you to attend the Insight Out Kick-Off Party

Insight Out is a bold new initiative that amplifies a select team of ex-offenders to be gainfully employed to work with youth to prevent crime and promote healing. They function as Change Agents in the community, giving back to the places they once took from. All of them have been trained by the Insight Prison Project during their incarceration in San Quentin State Prison. Some are former life sentenced men, some shorter sentenced, many of them worked with youth while inside, all are uniquely talented and motivated human beings. Their expertise is in transforming those negative habit patterns that sabotage a person’s efforts to live a productive and soulful life, no matter the academic achievement or being employed.

Join us in celebration on Wednesday, January 27th from 5:00-7:00pm at OneCalifornia Bank in Oakland.

  • To welcome a group of men that embody a quality of redemption so rich that they are ready to radically transform the hearts and minds of challenged youth in our communities.
  • To become a member of a team that is willing to look for solutions outside the box - for inside the box too many of our young people are dying.
  • To release the old stigma that an offender is never an ex-offender and to believe that people can live lives that honor the transcendence of the pain they experienced and created.
  • To celebrate hope, dignity and innovation. To proclaim that these are our children and that we care.

There will also be a performance by local youth group and a dynamite presentation. Appetizers and drink will be served.

We look forward to seeing you there!

More Information

There is plenty of street parking which is free after 6:00 (so no need to feed the meter past that time). OneCal bank suggests that you do not use parking garage about a half block away since they close at 7:30.

Please feel free to forward to anyone who might be interested.
