Flood Insurance and UDAAP 

The BCAC is pleased to announce a half-day seminar on Flood Insurance and UDAAP.

This presentation will cover flood insurance requirements and Unfair, Deceptive and Abusive Acts and Practices (UDAAP), with a focus on providing background information related to implementing regulations, common high-risk areas, and compliance strategies. The presentation will also discuss recent Flood and UDAAP violations in New England, their root causes, and suggested risk management practices. 

We are pleased to have as our presenter Michael Thompson from the FDIC.

Michael Thompson is a Senior Compliance Examiner for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in the Boston South Field Office, with a current focus on examining banks in Massachusetts and Connecticut. In his time at the FDIC, Michael has also worked in the West Virginia and Pennsylvania territories.  Michael holds a Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager designation and has attended the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at the University of Pennsylvania. Michael has served as examiner-in-charge for a number of large, complex financial institutions, and has extensive experience examining community banks. He graduated from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania with a B.A. in International Business and Management.

Group Discount Policy:

If one or more non-member(s) attends with at least four other individuals from the same bank / organization and one individual is a BCAC member, the cost for each attendee is the member rate.  All members from the same holding company will be treated as registering from the same organization. 

Payment Policy:

The BCAC will not be able to accommodate individuals/organizations who have not paid in full for prior registrations.

Refund Policy: 

A refund will be issued if you contact the program chairperson at least 72 hours prior to the scheduled program. The refund will be in the form of a credit toward a future meeting.

Cancellation Policy: 

If the program is canceled, it will be canceled one day prior to the program and registered attendees will be notified by email when possible.   Notification will be sent to all members announcing the rescheduled program.  At the discretion of the BCAC, a refund will be made or credit will be given for a future program.
