Developing Your Agricultural Business Enterprise
 

The Developing Your Agricultural Business Enterprise is an interactive program providing you, the entrepreneurs and agricultural producer with the knowledge and tools you need to analyze, assess, develop and grow your agribusiness venture. These workshops will help you discover potential opportunities in developing your agribusiness enterprise whether it be a value-added venture, agritourism, organic and sustainable agriculture or traditional commodity production.

Here are components to this terrific series: 

Values, Vision, Mission, Business Model Canvas, Products & Services
Starting with your values, vision and aspirations we will take you through the process of developing the products/services based upon the feedback of your potential customers.  This will enable you quickly develop your value proposition and assess your opportunities. 

Resources to Guide You Through the Business Planning Process
There is a wealth of tools and resources available in today’s environment.  This session will assist you in identifying those that can guide you through the process, provide answers and enable you to develop a plan and strategy for a successful agricultural business enterprise.

Business Planning for Farm Entrepreneurs, Market Research & Marketing Strategy
This session will guide you through the market research process, development of your marketing strategy and incorporating this information into your business plan.

Financial Planning for Agricultural Entrepreneurs
We will introduce you to financial statements, how to interpret financial statements and use key financial ratios to benchmark your performance and to financial planning tools to develop your financial plans. You’ll learn more about identifying key performance measures and effectively operating your business for profitability. 

Capitalization/Funding Sources, Business Structures, Operations, and Human Resources
In this final session we will cover capitalization and funding sources for your business enterprise, provide an overview of business organizational structures and operations strategy and human management.

Each participant gains access to all the SCORE materials used in this series, along with the full complement of SCORE business development tools and templates to make running your business as efficient as possible. 

You’ll also have a great opportunity to connect with other entrepreneurs, share experiences and expand your network.
