Webinar: Working Together Successfully

Becoming a Better Negotiator

Negotiation is a process, a means to an end.  It is the journey of how we get to where we want to be.  Negotiation is a dialogue between two or more people or parties, intended to reach an understanding or resolve a point of difference.

During this two-hour webinar, the presenter will help people learn how to navigagate the process of negotiating to get what they need from others.

This presentation was developed specifically for people with disabilities, family members and service providers, and has proven to increase participant skill and confidence in dealing with conflict and getting what they need through collaborative negotiations.

What others have said about this webinar:

“He obviously was very knowledgeable about the subject matter and it was very well presented.”

“This was by far one of the best”

Dave Black

Dave Black is the General Manager of Interchange Northwest. He has provided training and technical assistance in conflict management to public and private organizations, service providers, and individuals and families in the U.S and in several countries abroad since 1999. He is the Ombuds for Mental Health Services for the King County Regional Support Network in Washington State. He has provided negotiation training to hundreds of people with disabilities, their families and service providers.

Dave began his work in conflict resolution in 1994 as a volunteer family mediator in Thurston County, Washington. He took from that experience the belief that when it comes to the significant issues in our personal and professional lives, it is important for each of us to become more effective negotiators so that we can manage our problems, rather than to avoid them or let them get the better of us.
