Global Business Online for Entrepreneurs

Become well acquainted with the following key components of effective small business operations in global markets: 

  • Use of the internet to easily reach and then sell to international customers or buy from international vendors
  • How to get export trade financing through the SBA, including through online applications
  • The three common characteristics of successful small businesses which grow their international sales through the internet and otherwise
  • Overview of the U.S. legal requirements governing importing and exporting, including the use of online services to comply with them
  • The use of bank letters of credit available through online technology to ensure that you are paid by new unknown foreign customers
  • How to safely transact in a foreign currency online or otherwise without the risk of exchange rate loss

Ronald is a certified SCORE mentor and volunteer. He has provided business counseling service to over 70 SCORE clients.  Ron is an Adjunct Professor at SMU Dedman School of Law (Dallas), Capital University Law School (Columbus, Ohio) and at Wade College (Dallas). He retired as Senior Vice President Secretary and General Counsel of Flowserve Corporation (NYSE:FLS), a $4 Billion Global Manufacturer & Member of S & P 500. Ron holds a M.S. (Management) from MIT Sloan School of Management.
