Racial Equity Workshop 

The Equity Alliance of the North Coast is offering a half-day workshop focused on racial equity. In a research-based presentation that will include group activities and discussion, participants will explore the four dimensions of racism – internalized, interpersonal, institutional and structural – along with the role that history, cultural messages, human predispositions, and societal values play in shaping current social conditions. In addition, participants will understand the development and impact of implicit (unintentional) racial bias and proven strategies for reducing bias to create and sustain equity in our everyday lives and organizations. This will be facilitated by local trainers, using Lakeshore Ethnic Diversity Alliance's model. Morning beverages and light snacks will be provided.
