Day 1: Time to Interview. Campers get to “interview” with local human resources (HR) experts for their JA BizTown positions.
Day 2: JA BizTown in Operation. Every camper will do a different job from any they have had before at JA BizTown.
Day 3: Marketing and Innovation. Campers and their “coworkers” will cooperate to develop an idea and make it successful.
Day 4: Be an Entrepreneur. Campers learn about developing ideas for businesses and building money management skills.
Day 5: JA BizTown in Operation. New ideas and concepts are implemented during another day running JA BizTown.



JA BizTown Summer Camp is an academic learning camp, with hands-on, active games and lessons that will keep campers interested, involved, and excited about learning business!

Important information: Dates: June 18-22, 8:30-3:00 (There will be a late fee of $5.00 per minute for pick up after 3:10 pm.
Grades: 5-7
Prerequisite: Must have attended JA BizTown.
Cost and *Discounts: Camp fee is $149 per student. The following discounts are available:
Prompt Registration: $40 discount for registering 1-10 days after your student’s JA BizTown visit.
Sibling Discount: $20 discount when registering brothers and sisters. Each sibling gets the discount.
Refer a Friend: $20 discount when registering with a friend. List each other on the registration and both of you receive the discount.
*Note: Only one discount may be applied per registration. One online registration per family. To register additional family members, please contact JA at 484-2543 for a paper registration form.
Registration deadline is June 1, 2012.
Payment and Refunds: Payment is due upon registration. There are no refunds for illness or days missed for vacation during JA BizTown Summer Camp. If you cancel the registration before June 1, 2012, you will receive a full refund, less a $50 processing fee. No refunds for cancellation after June 1, 2012. We expect at least 50 campers to join JA BizTown Summer Camp. In order to ensure a positive experience, if fewer than 50 campers register, JA reserves the right to cancel the event and you will receive a full refund.
Appropriate Dress: Campers should dress modestly, comfortably, and appropriately. This is an academic camp: however, we will have some active games and lessons. Athletic shoes are recommended.
T-Shirts: T-shirt is included in camp fee.
Medication: If your child has medication that needs to be dispensed during the camp day, please send all medication to camp in a large zip-lock bag clearly marked with your child’s name. All medication should be in original container with a signed parental note, which clearly states dispensing directions.
