Maryland is part of a national initiative, the National Community of PracticeLifeCourse Framework, to expand and improve formal and informal supports for families of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across the lifespan. Our statewide initiative is led by the Maryland Community of Practice: LifeCourse Framework for Supporting Families (CoP) leadership team. The MD CoP is a group of organizations and individuals joining together to bring about change.

The Maryland CoP is moving forward! Don't miss our event on June 14--this is the next important step in our process to develop systems of support for families. Gain insight from National CoP leaders, learn about and provide feedback on the MD CoP Strategic Plan, enjoy a continental breakfast and lunch with families and colleagues, network, and make your voice heard! Registration is FREE!

Who should attend?

  • Family members of individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Participants of CoP awareness events
  • CCS & DORS employees, educators, employers, service providers, nurses, physicians
  • Interested community members: (i.e., employees of departments on aging, health, fire, police, higher education and/or advocacy groups)
