In Part 1, Before the Basics, participants learned what needs to be done to consider working with the Federal Government.  Using your DUNS Number we will now take it to the next level. Applying the Basics of Doing Business with the Federal Government is Part 2 of the 2-part series, where we move forward and apply the lessons learned in Part 1 to YOUR business.

In this hands-on workshop, the instructor will work with you to search for business opportunities, register your credentials, complete your registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) and the Small Business Dynamic Search (DSBS); all aimed at implementing the process that allows you to investigate opportunities that fit your business goals.

By the end of the learning workshop, you will be able to:

  • Start/Complete System for Award Management registration
  • Start/Complete Small Business Dynamic Search registration
  • Research federal business opportunities in FREE databases

As a business owner, coach, and trainer, Amanda Davis offers a unique 360-degree perspective in the government marketplace. She has hands-on experience in federal government procurement generating over $4M in LED Lighting. This includes working with nearly every branch and department of the military and government. Amanda has over 15 years of experience in consulting, government procurement, and GSA contracting. She provides mentorship, counseling, and training to small businesses seeking government contracts. Amanda works collaboratively with for-profits, non-profits and government entities who share her mission of supporting the small business community. These partnerships include Small Business Development Centers, SCORE, and Women Business Centers, to name a few.
