Financial Planning and Management - What Every Business Owner Needs to Know

“If you don’t know your numbers, you don’t know your business”
    – Mark Lemonis, Host of CNBC’s “The Profit”

accounting-invoice

This workshop will help you understand the key financial concepts and tools you need to successfully plan, monitor, and manage your business.  Even if you have an accountant to do the detail work, you need to understand how to interpret their reports to apply the financial intelligence they convey in order to manage your business offerings and operations.

It will cover the definitions and utility of key financial concepts and reports, such as cash flow, balance sheets, working capital, profit/loss statements, sales projections, and others.  The workshop will also briefly introduce and provide access to several key tools you can use directly to assess the financial health of your business.

What you will learn:

  • Cash Flow: Inadequate cash can starve a business to death
  • Balance Sheets: Illustrates your business's net worth
  • Working Capital: Capital used in its day-to-day operations
  • Profit and Loss: Summarizes revenues, costs, and expenses
  • Sales Projections: Determine upward or downward trends
And how to use these tools to measure your business's financial health!
