Join us for a day of self-discovery dedicated to embracing mindfulness on the beautiful & unique Lake Orchard Farm Retreat property located just north of Sheboygan, WI. A unique variety of experiences can be purchased individually ($30 per session), or as a full day package, which including all four sessions ($100).

Session Details:

Yoga in the Barn:  

An all-level gentle & resorative one hour flow yoga session in the property's treasured refinished & beautiful old barn wil. Session lead by MHA Mindful Instructor, Rachael Lewinski, who is also a certified yoga teacher at the Sports Core & Yoga on the Lake in Kohler, WI. Rachael will focus on breath and alignment, while providing postures that promote full relaxation and rejuvenation.

An Introduction to Mindfulness: 

What is mindfulness? How can you become more present in your everyday life? Join Trisha Erpelding, Education Coordinator & Mindful Instructor at MHA, as she answers these questions and helps you to build your own personal mindfulness practice. This session will include information about the principles of mindfulness as well as several guided practices.

Mindful Parenting:

Join Trisha Erpelding, MHA Education Coordinator and Mindful Instructor at MHA, as she shares strategies for incorporating mindfulness into the inner weaving of your family. The session will include discussion regarding the main principles of mindful parenting, as well as practices for parents and children alike. These tools can help us to navigate this wild ride called parenthood!

Everyday Artists:  

Join Mary Berg, owner of Everyday Artists, as she uses her skills to bring out the "Everyday Artist" in you! Mary will break down painting into it's basic elements, and rather than focusing on the end result, she will discuss the importance of being present and embracing the process of creating your masterpiece.

The Power of Gratitude:

Take some time to notice the things for which you are thankful by joining this session, led by Brianna Heusterberg, Mindful Instructor and PATH Coordinator at MHA. Learn about NEW research that shed light on the health benefits of harnessing gratitude and how gratefulness can help to re-wire our brain. This session includes a guided meditation aas well as a chance to create your very own gratitude bracelet!

Advanced Mindful Yoga Movement:

Join Jackie Wing of Yoga on the Lake in Kohler, WI for an advanced yoga practice that incorporates mindful breathwork and movement. Participants will explore challenging yoga postures, making this session perfect for the intermediate to advanced practitioner.

Jackie is a 200 hour RYT, currently teaching vinyasa and Hot Yoga Fusion at Yoga on the Lake in Kohler. She has been practicing for ten years and teaching for one. Her favorite aspect of the yoga practice is the constant learning opportunities for you mind, body, and soul. Her favorite aspect of teaching is to help students find those opportunites in themselves. Yoga has been a place of strength and a place of growth in so many aspects of her life; she is looking forward to sharing that with students in this workshop.

Mindful Eating:

Join Jessica Kohn, 500hrCRYT yoga teacher at YogaLoft for Mindful Eating (Session A).  Jessica is a student of Elise Cantrell and has taught Elise's 40 Days of Enlightened Eating curriculum.  Rachael Lewinski, MHA Mindful Instructor, NASM Certified Nutrition Specialist, ACSM Personal Trainer and E-RYT200 Yoga Alliance Teacher will also present Mindful Eating during Session B.  They will discuss what mindful eating is and what it is not.  Participants will take part in a mindful eating exercise, and we will discuss the "fruits" of mindful eating.  Discover mindful eating strategies that will support your ability to bring mindfulness into your meals with ease.

Essential Oils: How to Support Your Emotional Well-Being 

Join Jeremiah and Ryan LaCrosse, Elite Wellness Advocates for doTerra International, to learn about how essential oils can support your well-being. This session will provide information about the use of essential oils to support overall wellness and how some doTERRA blends are designed to support specific emotional needs. Session includes instruction on how to make a rollerball - which participants will get to bring home!

Jeremiah and Ryan have been working in essential oil education for almost three years. Both Jeremiah and Ryan already have experience in education. Jeremiah is a Special Education Educational Assistant and Ryan is a Spanish teacher for IDEAS Academy and The Mosaic School for the Sheboygan Area School District.

Mindful Movement: 

Join Anthony Flores, owner of Anthony Flores Fitness in Sheboygan, WI for a session that will teach you how to exercise with attention and purpose. Learn how to incorporate mindful movements into your everyday routines. This session is perfect for any fitness/experience level!

The Science of Self-Compassion:

Understanding how our own bodies react and handle stress neurologically can help us work through day-to-day pressure and anxieties. By integrating self-compassion into our daily lives, we are able to disrupt our stress cycles and better co-exist with some of these uncomfortable, stressful situations. Join facilitators Brianna Heusterberg and Trisha Erpelding, experienced mindfulness community leaders, as they help you to enhance your sense of self.

Color Yourself Happy!

Join Kate Baer, Executive Director and leader of the MHA mindful team, for a fun and relaxing session filled with laughs, bright colors, and inspiration. Create your very own mandala as you learn why mindful coloring is a great way to reset, relax, and bring out your creativity. Each participant will leave with their own mindful coloring book!

Mindful Daily Rhythms:

Do you make your life happen? Or does life happen to you? Join Alex Biondo, Certified Yoga Teacher and Health Coach from the Sports Core and Yoga on the Lake, for a session with strategies that you can start to implement into your life immediately. Start living more mindfully and purposefully - small steps for big impact. When we are mindful in our daily actions, our physical, mental, and emotional health begin to improve.

More Vitamin N - N is for Nature:

Gardening and growing food is a great way to integrate yourself into nature through physical activity. Nourish Program Coordinator and Certified Wellness Practioner, Ryan Laswell, will describe the relationships between your daily habits and your resulting health. He will also guide you through garden planning and gardening as this has been his nature-based outlet professionally and personally. Ryan believes gardeing unifies your physical, mental, and spiritual health in a productive way.

Self-Care: Singing Bowls for Healing:

Join Gina Armstrong, a licensed massage therapist from Balance on Buffalo in Manitowoc, WI, for a self-care session using singing bowls. Singing bowls act as an excellent vehicle to help develop a greater sense of self-awareness and a deeper state of relaxation. Each person will be able to use a singing bowl as they learn the history behind these unique instruments and how to infuse their vibrations into daily practices to center the body. Session will close with a singing bowl meditation.
