MABA Transparent Bkgrd  GRAIN QUALITY/GRAIN GRADING

Managing grain quality, including but not limited to mycotoxin levels in corn and wheat, has become increasingly challenging in recent years.  For this reason we've put together this session to address persistent quality concerns as well as to provide training in grain grading.

The morning session brings together federal agencies, researchers, test providers, and the grain industry to provide an in-depth look at issues from each level of the grain industry.  This comprehensive, big-picture look will help drive future strategies for the grain industry.

Following lunch, USDA GIPSA-FGIS will lead a hands-on grain grading session designed to train grain handlers in efficient and effective inspection of grain in accordance with the official US Standards for Grain.  This session is a great refresher for experienced grain graders as well as an essential training course for new graders who aren’t as familiar with official grading procedures.
