Conference Agenda
1:00 pm - 2:00 pm: Food and Informal Networking.
- 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm: Conference Sessions. Each session will begin with a short presentation, followed by action-oriented, workshop style discussions.
- Session One: A brief report on Alliance for Girls' progress and development thus far.
- Session Two: Research on the status of Bay Area girls presented by the San Francisco Commission on the Status of Women and the San Francisco Department of Behavioral and Health Services.
- Session Three: Girls and Trauma with Gena Castro Rodriguez. A presentation on girls' unique manifestations of trauma and how to identify indicators early.
- Keynote Speaker: Lessons from the LGBT movement: how girls can become center stage in the public discourse, with Kate Kendall, Executive Director of the National Center for Lesbian Rights.
