The Colors of the Fall on the River

Come join the Vintage Dance Society & Moments in Time in Hartford, Connecticut for a weekend of music, dance and more as we celebrate fall in New England. The weekend will include a Saturday afternoon workshop, a Jazz Age Ball Saturday night (music by an expanded New River Dance Orchestra), a Sunday afternoon cruise (with lunch and dancing) on the Connecticut River, and a Silent Movie Night with Jeff Rapsis.

The weekend will begin with an afternoon workshop at the Charter Oak Cultural Center.  Marc and Martha will be teaching dances of the 20s in prepartion for the evening ball. The workshop is 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Doors open at 1:30)

The weekend will continue with a Jazz Age Ball, also at the Charter Oak Cultural Center.  Music will be by an "expanded" New River River Dance Orchestra.  (Whats the Jazz age without horns and percussion!!).  The ball is 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. (Doors open at 7:00 p.m.)

On Sunday we will continue with a cruise aboard the 113 foot Mystique.  The cruise on the Connecticut River will include a catered lunch and dancing!! (SOLD OUT)

The weekend will wrap up with a Silent Movie Night with musical accompaniment by Jeff Rapsis.  (Location to be announced.)  The movie is at 7:30 p.m. (Doors open at 7:00 p.m.)

All events are within walking distance of local hotels.
