Spring 2017 Basic Mediation Training

The Basic Mediation Training consists of two modules: April 6,7,8 and April 27,28,29.  Module one leads participants through learning and practicing vital communication and conflict resolution skills. The structure is a mixture of lecture, group discussion, and role play. Sample Module 1 Agenda

Module two takes trainees through each step of the mediation process.  Participants practice their new skills by role playing three times as a mediator and one time as a disputant with outside role players. Sample Module 2 Agenda

Hours are as follows: Thursdays: 1:00-5:30p.m. Fridays: 8:30-5:00 p.m. and Saturdays: 8:30-5:00 p.m.

The early registration fee (by March 6,2017) is $425 per module and $450 afterwards.  Friday and Saturday lunches are included along with drinks, snacks and program materials.  Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions/allergies. Both modules are recommended and Module 1 is a pre-requisite for Module 2, but you may take Module 1 as a standalone training.  If you are able to only attend the first module, you may do so and take the second module at our next basic mediation training.

Attorneys: 19 CLE credits are available per module at a cost of $50.  If you are a law student or a new lawyer, please see the John E. Huber scholarship.

CEUs are also available for social workers, professional counselors and marriage and family therapists at a cost of $50 per module.  Please contact us to learn more about our discount and scholarship opportunities.

Please note that we do not provide refunds, however; if you have paid and are unable to attend this training you may postpone your enrollment to the next basic mediation training.
