FROM SELVAGE TO SALVAGE

New products designed and created by female artisans
using up-cycled Eskayel fabric remnants

May 5th – 7th, 2017, Eskayel’s new Williamsburg showroom will be open all weekend for an event celebrating the intersection of contemporary design with education and employment opportunities to alleviate poverty for artisan women.

Made from up-cycled Eskayel fabric remnants, limited edition collaborations will include baskets & bowls hand made by Rwandan artisans in collaboration with Indego Africa, sustainable adornments/art by Tamika Rivera of CUYO, and pouches & purses made by Honduran artisans in collaboration with Mi Esperanza.  A selection of new upholstered items, flat weave rugs, prints and more will also be available.

Proceeds from the sale will go back to non profit organizations Indego Africa and Mi Esperanza.
