About Ken Feinberg
Ken Feinberg calls upon a productive three-dimensional career that embodies directing, writing and performing, and he has a long list of credits that demonstrates the fortitude of his craft. His broad knowledge of the industry and his devotion to the arts whether on film, television or stage is expressed in his many accomplishments.
For over 25 years Feinberg has been directing, writing, producing and acting in award-winning films, hit television series and major theater projects in Los Angeles, New York and Atlanta, He has won numerous awards in more than 50 stage productions, and he has achieved a great deal in the years he’s been in Hollywood after nurturing his career in New York and Atlanta.
As the Founder and CEO of Creative Studios of Atlanta Feinberg directed and produced the first narrative film shot in Georgia on a RED camera, the latest in cutting edge technology. Foreign Exchange,which was Feinberg's 3rd film to debut at the Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner.
Additionally, Feinberg has directed close to 30 films in his career as well as serves as in house casting director for Creative Studios of Atlanta, which casts film, TV, pilots, commercials, promo, voice over and print for such clients as Turner Studios, Cartoon Network, Georgia Lottery etc.
As an actor, Feinberg is known to millions of television viewers around the world for his role as the Chaos Demon in the richly acclaimed Buffy The Vampire Slayer . He also played impressive characters on other hit series including Alias, Charmed, STAR TREK’S Enterprise and the popular network series The District.
Additionally, Feinberg has directed theater since 1992 in Los Angeles and Atlanta. Feinberg directed the hit A Tribute to Saturday Night Live at the Hollywood Fight Club in Los Angeles and also directed original shows at the Stella Adler Theater and the Long Beach Playhouse. As artistic director of the Atlanta theater company New Leaf Productions, Feinberg is noted for having adapted and directed the original musical stage version of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and the gala toast to Vaudeville, Schampagne and Shtick. He also directed the Atlanta premieres of the major award-winning Broadway shows: Talk Radio and Death and the Maiden.
As a member of the prominent Hollywood Repertory Company in Los Angeles, Feinberg co-wrote and produced Real Life Photographs, a drama about a family dealing with mental illness. The production was nominated for a Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award. Feinberg adapted Peter and Wendy in Neverland for a deaf theater company, and the play was published by Yale University Press.
An Atlanta native, Feinberg currently serves as the Executive Director of the Georgia Big Picture Conference, a nonprofit foundation whose mission is to help students of all ages and levels of experience bridge the gap between learning and working in the film and new media industry. Feinberg graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in filmmaking and a double minor in drama and art.
As CEO of Creative Studios of Atlanta, Feinberg continually helps cast motion pictures, short films, TV, commercials and print. Feinberg also teaches directing, screenwriting and acting at his studios. He has traveled extensively to refine all aspects of his craft: most notably studying art history and photography in Italy and photographing gray whale research in Mexico.About the Class
