Join the Triangle Institute for Security Studies and our distinguished speakers as we celebrate the sixtieth anniversary of TISS and the fifth year of our intelligence and security studies program. The goal of this conference will be to consider the relationship between intelligence and security, and to explore how best educators can contribute to the success of these vital missions. The working assumption of the conference is that thinking about these fields holistically should be the cornerstone of our efforts.  Friday’s discussion will focus on the inextricable link between intelligence and national security – past, present and future.  Saturday’s discussion will focus on the teaching of intelligence within the context of the study of national security.  As keynote speaker, we are proud to welcome retired General H.R. McMaster - who will speak on the Chapel Hill campus on Thursday evening. The Principal Deputy Director of National Intelligence, Susan M. Gordon will address the group on Friday evening.

Friday's sessions are full.  We have started a wait list.  Those who sign on can expect a seat on Saturday and will be given the opportunity to view Friday's panels in an overflow room.
