How can we promote a civil and inclusive community while still supporting freedom of speech? Join a discussion with internet safety expert Lynette Owens (founder and Executive Director of TrendMicro's Internet Safety for Kids and Families Program), Natick Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Anna Nolin, school principals, and others about how kids (and parents and caregivers) can address challenging online behavior and help build a respectful community for all. Anti-bullying resources for the town and schools will be shared and discussed.

About Our Speaker, Lynette Owens
Lynette Owens is the Founder and Global Director of Trend Micro’s Internet Safety for Kids and Families program. After establishing the program in 2008, she has helped reach almost 2 million students, parents and teachers in over a dozen countries. With 20+ years in the technology industry, Lynette speaks and blogs regularly on how to help kids become great digital citizens. Lynette works with communities and school districts across the U.S. and around the world, recruits employee volunteers in over a dozen countries, and collaborates with NGOs and other technology partners to make online safety, digital citizenship, and media literacy education a priority for all kids. She is a board member of the National Association of Media Literacy Education, and serves on the advisory boards of INHOPE and U.S. Safer Internet Day. Based in Natick MA, she is a mother of two, wife of one, tireless pro-youth, protech advocate and believer that the impact of technology on society is completely in our hands.
