Transforming Healthcare and Communities through Local Planning
Please join us for a community forum on Thursday, June 29 from 11:30 am -12:30 pm to learn about Integral Care's role and efforts in the 1115 Transformation Waiver planning process. As a valuable stakeholder, you will have an opportunity to provide feedback on proposed projects in the areas of behavioral health and developmental disabilities.
The 1115 Medicaid waiver aims to transform the health care delivery system for low income Texans and includes an increased focus on access to quality behavioral health services as a recognized means to improve both individual and system level outcomes. It holds an extraordinary opportunity to improve healthcare access and quality for Travis County residents.
The first year of planning for the 1115 demonstration waiver ends October 1, 2012, followed by four years of implementation of the DSRIP projects. In the coming weeks, Central Health will furnish the plan development process and timelines for our region. Based on community needs, the regional plans will include efficient and effective local solutions designed to reduce costs and improve outcomes.
Input from valuable stakeholders like you will help guide and influence future efforts to meet identified community needs. Integral Care is committed to identifying DSRIP projects that support health promotion, wellness, community-based recovery and the utilization of technology to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of treatment for behavioral health and developmental disabilities.
