5K "Move It" Health and Wellness Festival: Saturday, November 17, 2018

The Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), Student Health and Human Services (SHHS) is hosting its 5K "Move it" Health and Wellness Festival on Saturday, November 17, 2018. The festival is designed to promote the benefits of fun, physical activity, health care, and healthy eating. 

The event will feature a 5K walk/run for students, families, employees, and community members; as well as, an obstacle course for younger participants. Concurrently there will be a health festival where participants will have access to health and nutrition booths, games, sports clinic, musical perfomances, giveaways. and celebrity appearances. 

In order to make this event a success we are seeking volunteers, like you, willing to donate thier time for a good cause.  Even if you are unable to commit for a full day, we have 2 hour block increments at various locations throughout the festival. Volunteer assignments include parking attendant, registration table, 5K route monitor, monitoring festival area, and clean up.
