Day 1

• Drive to TPWD Balmorhea State Park: http://tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/balmorhea
• Activities: swim, interpretive hike, stretch + snack
• Caravan to TPWD Davis Mountains State Park: http://tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/davis-mountains
• Set up camp – fireside storytime + smores
• Sleep under stars

Day 2

• Sunrise Hike
• Lecture by Michael Eason, ethnobotonist
• McDonald Observatory: http://mcdonaldobservatory.org/ (**allow 30 minutes of drive time to McDonald Observatory)
• 7:00 pm Twilight Party
• 8:45 pm Star Party
• Sleep under stars

Day 3

• Make breakfast
• Pack up camp
• Lunch in Marfa (allow only 1 hr 15 min in Marfa)
• Drive to Terlingua Ghost Town
• Enter Big Bend National Park
• Visit Panther Junction Ranger Station
• Drive up to Basin, set up camp in Group Campground
• Hike to Window @ sunset
• Make dinner
• Sleep under stars

Day 4

• Early wake up call
• Make breakfast and pack lunches
• Hike to summit Emory Peak
• Pizza dinner
• Debrief

Day 5

• Make breakfast and pack lunches
• Break down camp
• Depart for home!
