Masquerade "Blind" 3-Course Wine Pairing with Chef Erin Sealy @ KnB Bistro in La Jolla

We're excited to bring back some interactive fun!


After a long spring and summer of not celebrating any holidays, we're exciting to announce a little Halloween fun! Years ago we had a tradition of featuring a masquerade themed "blind" tasting around Halloween. We're creating a similar experience with an abbreviated menu, that will only require about an hour of time to enjoy. We'll be pouring 3 wines, each complimented by a light pairing. The best part? The wines will all be hidden under masquerade masks and you'll get to guess the varietals. Guess each wine correctly and take home a prize! Though we set this event up so as not to take up a lot of time, you do have the option of buying additional wine and food, if you'd like to make a full evening of the event. You can join us anytime (reservations available every 1/2 hour) between 6-9pm! Join in the Halloween fun and wear your own masquerade mask! 

 Each selection will be paired with its own wine inspired pairing, prepared by Chef Erin Sealy. Chef Erin specializes in pairing food with wine, with a slightly different approach than most. Prior to creating a menu, each selection is tasted and reviewed and then she creates a food pairing, highlighting the nuances of each selection. This concept creates a dinner and pairing experience with layers of complexity and unique creations which exemplify the enjoyment of each wine. With a passion for food, wine and spirits, Chef Erin delights attendees with a detailed account of the pairing concept and cooking techniques that create each course. Expect a fabulous evening of wine, food & educational insights!

*Please note that seating for this event will utilize space in the main bistro area, bar area and upstairs in the wine cellar/loft area. The only way to access the loft area is via stairs. Please be sure to note in the special requests section at registration if you require seating in the downstairs/bistro or bar area of the venue.

Zucchini, Gruyere and White Cheddar Tart Topped with Chef Erin's Maple Bourbon Bacon Jam

 

Masquerade/Blind Wine #3 (Red)

Filet Mignon Skewer with Charred Cherry Tomato, Baby Potato and Caramelized Red Onion. Served on Baby Arugula with Chimichurri Drizzle

 

3-Course Wine Pairing $35/person (Includes Tax & 18% Gratuity)

The Upper Crust $30/person (Includes Tax & 18% Gratuity)

Upon successful registration, your provided credit card will be charged and you will receive an auto-confirmation email immediately. Please be sure to register each person in your party. There is a 48-hour full-refund policy. We apologize that cancellations within 48 hours of the event cannot be refunded

 

Please review our COVID-19 modified policies: All guests are required to answer COVID-19 screening questions during registration. Masks are required to enter the bistro and are required at all times unless seated at your table. In addition to operating at 25% capacity or less, all seating areas will maintain at a distance of at least 6 feet separation. Additional cleaning and sanitizing is in place in common areas and in the kitchen. We require that the entire party be in attendance in order to be seated. Reservations are not guaranteed if you are more than 10 minutes late. Lastly, we kindly request that you consider limiting your reservation to 1.5 hours, unless you are joining us for additional wine and food.
