Please join TxACOM and Lauren Schmidt, Owner and Chief Visions Producer of Freesia and The Creative Touch, Events by Lauren for an interactive educational meeting covering Effective Networking that Actually Brings an ROI (Return on your investment).
Lauren began her career in the events industry in 2004 working at a few well-known private membership clubs in Dallas. Realizing her passion for creating once in a lifetime events for her clients, in 2009, Lauren started her planning company, The Creative Touch, Events by Lauren. She quickly developed a reputation as being super creative and thorough, “making every aspect of planning and executing each event so perfect.”
In the spring of 2015, she acquired Freesia, a well-known floral design company that began in 2006. More recently, Lauren has taken her event design experience and brought it into consulting & interior design for up and coming event venues. She is able to think like and look through the eyes of the client, as well as staff who will be using the space daily, ultimately creating a perfect blend of function, flow and beauty.” Lauren brings more than 16 years of planning expertise to create flawless design execution.
Through all of these years, Lauren has been attending both industry and non-industry business networking events. Her longest standing membership has been with NACE, the National Association of Catering and Events, which she joined in 2008. She has served on committees and the DFW NACE Chapter board in many capacities from Secretary, Director of Fundraising, Education Chair to Ways & Means Chair for the majority of her years of involvement and has won several awards for her designs and partnership throughout those years. Most recently, Lauren joined and served on the board of a business networking group called BNI 29%, which consistently runs at the top five of all 9500+ chapters for business referrals generating over $2.4 million in business revenue annually for that chapter alone.
When not creating gorgeous events for her clients’, her two boys, Landon and Hudson, miniature schnauzer, Zoie and fluffy cat, Zeus keep her moving and shaking just about every minute of the day. She also enjoys daily meditation and exercising to keep her centered, traveling to explore new places, playing wild & crazy games with her boys, cooking her family’s Italian recipes and watching a good movie or Netflix curled up next to her hubs.
