The Golden Retriever Rescue Club of Charlotte, Inc. (GRRCC) will host its 17^th Annual Gene Fitzpatrick Memorial Golfing for Goldens Benefit Golf Tournament, on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Carolina Lakes (Sun City Golf Club) in Indian Land, South Carolina beginning at 1:00 PM. Registration will begin at Noon.

This is the second year, for the now renamed, Gene Fitzpatrick Memorial Golfing for Goldens Benefit Golf Tournament.  Gene was the President of the Golden Retriever Rescue Club of Charlotte for 11 years and his love of golf and goldens made this one of his very favorite events.

The tournament format is a four-person Captain’s Choice with a shotgun start.  Registration is only $125 per player ($400 per team) and includes golf, range balls, cash prizes for low gross and low net.  The 2^nd and 3^rd place low gross and low net will win rounds of golf.  Mulligans will be sold separately the day of the event: (4) for $20. There will also be a Closest to the Pin and Long Drive Contest.

This year, in an effort to make this the greatest tournament ever, we are asking for each recipient of this newsletter’s help. Please contact your friends, golf buddies, work associates, or any contacts to ask if they are willing to donate goods and/or services to be used as raffle and auction prizes.

We only had less than 10 members play golf in last year’s event.  There are many of you that play, and we urge your participation.  Get your clubs cleaned, contact your buddies to make a foursome and come and enjoy a great day honoring, and helping, our Golden rescues.  We also need your assistance in obtaining sponsorships at our tee and/or green areas.  In the tee and green area’s we’ll have a sign with your message/advertisement.  These sponsorships are $125 each or at both the tee and green area’s for $200.

Rounding out the event will be a raffle and silent auction for numerous valuable items.  Cost also includes a box lunch from TBA and a dinner following the golf event.

Deadline for player registration is Saturday, March 30.  There will be a 120 player maximum so register early.
