Restaurant Success Orientation: Making Your Restaurant Successful and Profitable (Online Workshop)

Are you planning on opening or expanding a food business? Do you need help navigating the requirements and regulations? This workshop will focus on restaurants, mobile food businesses, catering and participation in farmers' markets. You will also learn about the various permits and licenses you need to open or expand your food business.

Whether you are starting or expanding your restaurant or mobile food business, the City of Seattle’s Office of Economic Development (OED) offers resources that will help you succeed. Whether you are looking for help navigating the regulatory requirements for getting your food business started, looking for financial help, counseling on various aspects of your restaurant business, or advice on how to troubleshoot an issue or figure out the next steps, this workshop will help you get connected to a variety of resources available to you. Bring your questions to this workshop and know the City of Seattle’s OED who can help provide and guide you to the resources that will help you get started and grow.

The workshop is taught by Jennifer Tam from the Seattle Office of Economic Development

Jennifer is the Restaurant Advocate in the City of Seattle’s OED, holding that position since 2014.  She has a BA from the University of San Francisco in International Business and an MBA from Presidio Graduate School in Sustainable Business.  She has a passion for helping restaurant owners succeed in business.  Here’s a quote from someone who worked with Jennifer: “She is extremely sharing in her resources and connections as well... . . Working with her was a breeze. I'd partner with her any time, since not only does she over-deliver, but as a result, she brings out the best in her partners as well.”

For more information about navigating the requirements and regulations for opening or expanding a restaurant or mobile food business, take a look through the Restaurant Success website.
