From financial and legal advice to marketing and web design, do you have skills and experience that can help a local entrepreneur be successful? Have you been looking for a leadership role and an opportunity to give back? SCORE Mentors and Collider Foundation are looking for new people to become leaders in the local business community and want to help you feel empowered to share your expertise with others.
One of the most valuable resources you can donate is your time. Learn more at an upcoming event where SCORE and Collider will share ways you can help the small business community in the Rochester-area and connect with like-minded professionals and exchange ideas.
“SCORE is looking for talented and committed volunteers who can help aspiring and existing business owners with business challenges” says Mehrdad Shabestari, chair of SCORE Mentors in Rochester. SCORE Mentors offers free and confidential business mentoring, workshops and educational services.
Shabestari says that volunteers don't necessarily need to know everything about starting a business. “SCORE provides training and an abundance of business resources with all there is to know about starting and running a business, “ he adds.
Likewise, the Collider Foundation is a local non-profit that activates, connects, and empowers Rochester’s entrepreneurs and small businesses.
“We provide 1:1 assistance, educational events, space, and storytelling,” says Jamie Sundsbak, Executive Director & Co-Founder of the Collider Foundation.
