Please join us in paying tribute to the 2014 Legends of LifeTown.
Lawrence B. Benenson (Partner, Benenson Capital Company, New York City) An internationally celebrated activist and charitarian, Benenson is Chairman of the Institute for the Study of Global Anti-Semitism and Policy, and serves on the Board of The Museum of Modern Art, among many others. He is a national champion for LifeTown as a priceless, distinctive gem and works to introduce our model for leveling the playing field for children with special needs to a global audience.
The Columbus Foundation is a catalyst for transformative philanthropy that strengthens and improves the greater Columbus community. Established in 1943, it has become the seventh largest community foundation in the United States managing $1.52 billion in assets and granting a total of more than $1.37 billion, primarily benefiting central Ohio. The Foundation has been a key partner with LifeTown since its inception.
Guest speaker Blake Haxton will share his miraculous story of finding
independence after having both legs amputated during high school. Governor John
Kasich appointed Mr. Haxton to the Ohio Rehabilitation Services Commission to
promote independence and self-sufficiency for Ohioans with disabilities.
