Forestry Walk with Ethan Pierce

Every forest is waiting to be discovered.  Crumbling stone walls, ancient stumps and rusted barbed wire are all clues to a forest's past. Join forester Ethan Pierce for a morning of surveying at Denning's Point on Saturday, May 14th at 10 a.m.

About Ethan Pierce

Ethan Pierce is a forest photographer, naturalist, and educator. He grew up in the Hudson Valley and has spent countless hours beneath the trees of the Catskill Mountains and the Shawangunk Ridge. He studied forestry at the University of New Hampshire and has traveled to forests in Finland, Costa Rica, New Zealand, Spain, Canada, and the United States. He currently works in the Adirondack Park as a professional forester and spends his free time searching for groves of old growth forest.
