5 Wild Animals
Saturday, April 23 at 10 a.m.
Gallery at 199 Main Street

Learn how New York's sturgeon, beaver, box turtle, wolf and bald eagle have survived 400 years of human settlement. Hudson Highlands Nature Museum Environmental Educator Megan Hoffman will trace this Hudson Valley history with visual help from Sensor Place's 3D watershed exhibit, and tell the important stories of:

  • Habitat loss and preservation
  • The effects of pollutants such as DDT and PCBs
  • Over-hunting and population management
Pelts, skulls, bones, shells and mounted specimens will be shared throughout the morning for a hands-on feel for these amazing creatures.
