Oktoberfast 2019

Note: You may still sign up for Oktoberfast, but only for the Coffee and Porsches Tour and the Sunday Car Show; no t-shirt is included so your price is reduced.

 

For 2019, Oktoberfast has multiple events over the weekend, culminating with a car show in The Village at Meridian on Sunday (video1 from 2017). The weekend starts with the Welcome Dinner on Friday evening. On Saturday you can join the morning Coffee and Porsches tour or the Winery Tour.

Welcome Dinner

  • Friday, October 4, 6:00-10:00 pm
  • Southwestern buffet dinner at Big Al's at The Village in Meridian; no host bar available
  • $29 per person

Coffee and Porsches Tour 

  • Saturday, October 5; meet at 8:00 am for an 8:30 departure
  • Start and end at Porsche of Boise; enjoy some coffee and pastries before leaving
  • Enjoy a scenic and spirited drive
  • Tour leader is Dave Keim 
  • No charge for this tour

Winery Tour

  • Saturday, October 5, meet at 9:30 for a 9:45 departure
  • Start at Porsche of Boise; enjoy some coffee and pastries before leaving
  • A scenic tour will take the group to the Sunnyslope region, Idaho's original wine country
  • The included box lunch will be provided at Koenig Winery; choose from several Sandwich/Salad combos or Salad only (allergen notice)
  • After lunch you can pick and choose from a dozen wineries to visit 
  • Tasting fee is included at Koenig Vineyards where we will enjoy lunch; other wineries you choose to visit may charge a tasting fee which is generally refunded with purchase
  • Coordinated by Vicki Pentecost
  • $25 per person (limit 50 people)

Oktoberfast Car Show

  • Sunday, October 6, 12:00-4:00 pm; staging starts at 10:30 am
  • Porsche marque only; limit of 140 cars
  • Included with entry is a t-shirt, poker walk, and door prize opportunities
  • After cars are placed, the streets are closed for the duration of the show
  • Expect thousands of spectators
  • Judging of cars will be a "Casual Show & Shine" which is judged by show participants
  • For added interest, the official color of your car will be on your placard so people can appreciate the variations between cars (use the new PCA Rennbow website to find the color of your car)
  • Best of Show winner will be featured with next year's promotions
  • During the show you may enjoy lunch and beverages in a variety of indoor and outdoor locations
  • Entry fee is $25 per car; additional cars $15, no t-shirt
  • Souvenir logo beer mugs can be ordered for $12 each
  • The 2020 Silver Sage calendar can also be ordered
  • A commemorative photo of your car by Porsche of Boise will be sent to you after the event
  • Several new models will be displayed by Porsche of Boise 
  • The Silver Sage Region’s charity effort will benefit Wish Granters, an adult wish-granting organization that makes a lasting impact in the lives of families by granting wishes to adults who have terminal illnesses.

The deadline to sign up is Wednesday, September 25 or when 140 cars have registered. 

For our out of town guests, the following may be useful.

  • Last day to get the special rate is 9/3/2018
  • The hotel will furnish a car wash station
