Oktoberfast 2022

Oktoberfast is the signature, multi-day, multi-region event for the Silver Sage Region of the Porsche Club of America. It is sponsored by the Village at Meridian, Porsche Boise and the Silver Sage Region. The event includes a Kick-Off dinner on Friday night; a drive on Saturday morning; a winery tour also on Saturday morning; and culminates with the Porsche Car Show on Sunday from noon to 4:00pm. This year the dates are Friday September 30 thru Sunday October 2.

Oktoberfast’s popularity and participation continue to impress, thanks primarily to the efforts of all the participants, sponsors, and volunteers. Our venues include Big Al’s, local wineries, local highways, Porsche Boise and The Village at Meridian. As a weekend long event, we have been honored to have guests from several regions and excellent PCA participation. The show is open to all Porsches and non-PCA members are welcome.

This is the start of the Silver Sage Region PCA charity effort and our chosen charity this year is Camp Rainbow Gold. Camp Rainbow Gold will be presented at the dinner on Friday night and representatives will be in attendance at the show on Sunday. Proceeds from Oktoberfast, our annual Big O Tire raffle and day of event Village at Meridian gift card raffles will go to the charity.

A TASTE OF THINGS TO COME
(Friday, September 30, 6:00pm-9:30pm)

Festivities will once again begin on Friday night, September 30th, with a welcome dinner at Big Al’s at The Village at Meridian. The Kick-Off dinner is partially sponsored by Porsche Boise. Great food and drink will be available and an introduction to the weekend events will be presented. Our charity will also have a spot to pitch their worthy cause. This is a great opportunity for PCA’ers and their guests to mingle and get acquainted before the weekend events. Participation is limited to 90 people and the cost for dinner is $40.

 A DRIVE IN THE WOODS
(Saturday, October 1, 8:00am-Noon)

Meeting at Porsche Boise on Saturday, October 1, the “Coffee and Porsche” partcipants assemble for a pre-run driver meeting and of course… coffee and donuts. The drivers will leave the Porsche dealership at around 8:30am and drive until noon.  They will get exposure to Boise area scenery, some awesome stretches of highway and mountain roads. Bring a full tank of gas and a radio tuned to channel 5.1. Entry is free thanks to Porsche Boise and there is no limit on the number of cars that can participate.

 OKTOBERFAST UNCORKED
(Saturday, October 1, 10:00AM-1:00PM)

The winery tour group will meet up the Porsche Boise on Saturday, October 1 at 9:30am with a scheduled departure at 10:00am.  This group is limited to 50 people. The winery tour also exposes drivers to some of the scenery around Boise and stops at two Idaho wineries for wine tasting. At the last stop participants will enjoy a box lunch. Cost to participants ($45) covers tasting fees at two wineries, box lunch, taxes and gratuities. If sold out (no lunches available) contact Linda Prusynski to be put on the waitlist.

THE MAIN EVENT
(Sunday, October 2, 10:30am-4:00pm)

Of course, the weekend’s main event is the Porsche Car Show held on the picturesque streets of The Village at Meridian on Sunday October 2. That means prior to the event; elbow grease, wax, polish, and speed shine have been meticulously applied to 125 beautiful Porsches.

Volunteers will arrive early to stage the membership, charity, registration tents and awards stage. Cars start arriving at 10:30AM and are parked by 11:30AM in their assigned areas in the Village by year and model. The show starts at noon and is over by 4:00PM with awards and prizes announced at 3:30PM in a ceremony at the stage. Activities for participants include judging their favorite cars, a poker walk, shopping and dining. There are many great stores and restaurants at the Village.

This event requires registration and there is a $30 fee for participants and includes an Oktoberfast T-shirt, professionally designed by our own Ernie Monroe, featuring last years’ Best of Show car, the Heritage Edition Targa. Additional cars can be registered for $15 (no T-shirt). Items available for purchase with your registration include additional shirts and beer mugs. This event is limited to 125 cars.

OKTOBERFAST T-SHIRTS

Oktoberfast T-shirts are always popular and we want everyone to have the opportunity to purchase them. One is provided as part of any first car registration for Sunday's show. In addition, you will be able to purchase a first or additional T-shirts as a part of Oktoberfast registration even if you do not show a car. This year's design showing the Heritage Edition Targa will be outstanding. T-shirts will only be available as a preorder during the registration period so don't miss out on the opportunity. T-Shirts must be picked up at the car show unless special arrangements are made.

REGISTRATION

Registration for Oktoberfast 2022 will open on August 5 and close on September 12, 2022. The show is limited to 125 entries. A registration link will be e-mailed to Silver Sage members.

Non PCA members are welcome to participate but it is a Porsche only show.

LODGING

The Oktoberfast Car Show is not affiliated with any particular hotel.  There are many great hotels in the area including Hotel 43 in Boise, The Riverside Hotel in Boise and the Courtyard by Marriott in Meridian as well as others.  Our out-of-town participants should pick the hotel of their choice and arrange their reservations accordingly.
