Vital Congregations

with Chris Miller

An interactive exploration of how the Vital Congregations Initiative can benefit your congregation.  Participants will engage in activities to stimulate reflection and discernment around areas of vitality in your congregation.  Come seek a better understanding of how to develop an openness to the movement of the Holy Spirit in the life of the church.

Anti-Racism Conversations

with  Jennifer Dawson

Is talking about racism or ethnicity difficult? Does it cause you pause?  If you would like to have meaningful conversations about this difficult topic, come join us as we explore the richness of diversity.

Pastoral Care for Ruling Elders

with Julie Mercer

Ruling Elders are called to ministry in partnership with teaching elders. Within this calling, ruling elders have a responsibility for the members of the church including providing pastoral care.  Not every ruling elder is comfortable making pastoral visits. Some elders might be worried they will say the wrong things; others worry they might be perceived as intrusive or offensive; and this worrying and wondering turns into inaction. Ruling elders, come be empowered to deliver excellent pastoral care to your church members. Come learn to push  beyond your comfort zone and discover what it is to deliver compassionate care.
