 Head for the Future!

Boston GreenFest 2012 is presented by the Foundation for a Green Future, Inc. Our goal is to educate and empower people to create a more sustainable, healthier world. We are actively building an interconnected, ever expanding network ,with a diverse audience, throughout our neighborhoods, city and region. From business to nonprofit, neighborhood association to academic institution, Boston GreenFest spans age, culture and industry.

Spanning 5 continents with more than 200 exhibitors and 100 live performances, Boston GreenFest 2011's  atmosphere was vibrant.  In his personal statement, Mayor Menino declared that "Boston GreenFest is a great venue to showcase the amazing work happening throughout the region and the tremendous promise of economic development and green job opportunities that a low carbon economy holds for Boston and beyond."  Metro Boston was our Premier Title Sponsor.  State Street, Isaac's Moving & Storage Company, CBS Radio, Green Living Technologies, City of Boston, TD Bank, Radio Disney, Nantucket Nectars, Univsion, Eastern Bank, el Mundo, Eastern Mountain Sports, Massport and the MBTA were among a growing list of dedicated supporters.

At Boston GreenFest 2011, we  opened our festival with a Native American Drum and Dance Ceremony.  Our EcoKids section was  a bouncing success that the Boston Parents Paper declared, "...just wonderful!".   Our State Street GreenBusiness Breakfast, Metro Boston GreenBest Awards Ceremony, Green Entrepreneurs Small Business Forum, Massport Transportation Forum, Green Politics for a Green Boston Forum and BPS EcoPhoto Contest, were equally well received.  Seen first at Boston GreenFest 2010, Alexanderia the Great, escape artist, is  preparing a thrilling new act  for 2012 and seeking wider acclaim.

The Boston GreenFest team has new plans brewing for 2012 - come and be part of it!  We will have a strong emphasis on food and farms, green tech and water.
