Grace Men's Retreat 2019

 - Stop, Drop, and Roll - Restoring Vitality in our Lives with Christ

How is it that our lives in Christ can be renewed and refreshed? We all experience the weight and guilt of ongoing sin that can sap our strength. At the same time, lethargy and complacency can wrap around our hearts, stealing the passion and joy of following Christ. The goal of this time together is to grow in our awareness of the supremacy of Christ, to see him for who He is, and to experience His call on our lives in a renewed way. This happens in and through the normal means of grace as we gather, enjoy a meal together, sing, listen to the scriptures, and interact with them while taking time to reflect on our lives. By God’s grace, we have a great hope of seeing His life restored in us individually and corporately.

Our Speaker - Tim Russell

Tim presently serves as an Assistant Pastor of Middle Adults at Second Presbyterian Church in Memphis, Tennessee. He has served in various capacities including Scholar-in-Residence of the Memphis Fellows program, and College Chaplain and adjunct faculty at Geneva College in Beaver Falls, PA. Tim is married to Kathe, his wife of 32 years. He has traveled broadly preaching and speaking. Tim has a scholar’s mind and a pastor’s heart which he uses to encourage and to challenge God’s people. Tim comes to us by way of his long term friendship with Caleb Stegall, one of Grace’s elders. We are thrilled to have him as our guest teacher for our men at this retreat.
