Good Mirror, Great Teacher:Using Reflective Technique to Promote Connection and Empathy
Presented by
Lesley Koplow, LCSW
Early childhood and early grade teachers often struggle to meet the complex emotional needs of their students in the current score driven climate. Teachers who practice reflective technique in the classroom can use language, literacy, social studies, and art to help children connect to their own emotional experiences and become more empathic to others. Good Mirror, Great Teacher will give participants a refreshing opportunity to use what they see and hear in the classroom to enhance children's capacity for empathy and heighten engagement in the learning process .
