Writing Website Copy: Tell your clients what THEY want to know

Part I of the Storytelling for Business Boot Camp Series

PLEASE NOTE: This is a creative, full-participation boot camp, similar to writing or acting boot camps. You must be an active-business owner ready to share your experience and receptive to the experiences of other participants. Here, “active business” means (1) you’ve worked with at least 1-2 paying clients; (2) you have a live website that can be accessed online during the session.

Participation is limited to 15 attendees. No walk-ins allowed.

Learn to define your target market and master the basics of crafting website copy that will help you create a bond with your customer.

In a brainstorming session with your peers, analyze other participants’ website copy and share your immediate reactions from the standpoint of a prospective client to determine how well the website succeeds in connecting the product or service with its market and what, if anything, can be done more effectively.

A professional narrative development consultant will the group discussion and help you integrate the spontaneous feedback into a well-written narrative that highlights the uniqueness of your product or service.

At the end of this workshop, you will learn how to:

  • determine the main purpose of your website
  • define your target customer
  • differentiate your product/service from those of your competition
  • develop a narrative that connects your product/service to your market

Join us for a fun, dynamic interactive session and schedule a free meeting with a SCORE NYC business mentor at your earliest convenience.
