Social Media Marketing & Social Advertising 

 It is 2019 and social media is growing at warp speed. With over 2 billion users having active social media accounts, social media for businesses is no longer optional. Business owners are now leveraging the popularity of social media as a premier branding and marketing tool. In other words, social media are a powerful and cost- effective way to target customers.

Social media are also quite challenging to master because of the frequent changes in existing platforms, not to speak of new ones that seem to keep popping up every other day and demanding our attention.

In Session 2 we will tackle the ever-changing world of social media marketing and advertising. What platforms to use? What are the 2018 media trends you can’t miss? How do you build your campaigns and what are some smart strategies to increase your ROI and conversion rates?

At the end of this Session 2, you will have the knowledge and resources to:

  • Summarize the map and usage of social media channels such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram and Google.
  • Identify which channels are better to focus on for your business, based on an analysis of each channel’s content and target audience
  • Describe the Facebook Universe: groups, pages, profiles, Instagram, stories, and Live 
  • List the pros and cons of organic vs. advertising content
  • Identify the correct channels for you based on advertising differences among channels
  • Outline how to plan a Facebook advertising campaign and other social ad campaigns
