New Workshop! How to Run an Established Nonprofit - 03/02/2020 - C1000 

Duration: 3 hours

EVENT OVERVIEW

Do you manage a non-profit but need advice and resources to help your organization thrive? You may have incorporated your nonprofit, and may be clear about its goals but need information and resources about the next steps to ensure that your organization is managed successfully. 

Where to get this information? This interactive workshop will provide you with the tools and knowledge to take your nonprofit to the next level. A former nonprofit CEO and founding board president will take you through the ways to ensure organizational success.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN 

At the end of this workshop, you will have knowledge and resources to:

  • Describe the process for recruiting and onboard directors and other volunteers
  • Outline how to adopt bylaws
  • Discuss how to prepare a budget and strategic plan
  • Select the most effective fund-raising strategy
  • Identify accountability issues related to raising and sending money
  • Describe reporting requirements: board, donors, constituent groups, state and federal governments

Barbara Grumet is a former nonprofit CEO, board member, founding board president, senior management employee, and volunteer for several nonprofits. She is a SCORE New York City mentor.
