MONEY 101: Manage Your Money, Manage Your Finances
Series 1: Foundation - 09/23/2020 - C1000

Are you a woman who wants to
take the fear out of finance? 

This first, foundational series of five
2-hour sessions on ZOOM
will
help you explore financial issues in
a more intimate setting

During these interactive webinar sessions, an experienced financial planning and marketing expert will take you through the ways to manage money more effectively, make the right financial decisions and plan for the future. Small breakout rooms ensure active participation and online discussion.

At the end of this series of webinars, you will have
the resources and knowledge to:

  • Distinguish between W-2 and 1099 earnings and their tax implications
  • Summarize the rules for hiring independent contractors
  • Understand additional tax expenses you incur as an independent contractor
  • Prepare a personal cash budget to help manage cash flow
  • Complete a personal financial statement, including appropriate listing of assets and  liabilities
  • Define financial criteria including credit reports, lender evaluation criteria and steps needed to restore credit score if needed

We ask that you:

  • Attend every class session within the series. This represents a commitment to yourself and to others in the group. 
  • Work in front of a full screen computer, allowing screen sharing. In a quiet area for concentration
  • Agree to complete pre-work before each class, which takes approximately 2 hours a week to give yourself time to complete
  • Use a calculator or application if needed to perform math functions
  • Complete pre-work before each session to optimize your learning experience by enabling you to discuss concepts and real-life examples with your peers and your instructor.

Completion of Series 1: Foundation is a pre-requisite for attending subsequent Money 101 webinar series 2 and 3, which delve more deeply into areas such as savings, investments and taxes.

Diane was formerly CEO of a New York Metro bottled-water manufacturing and distributing company. Her expertise is in financial planning and marketing. She holds an MBA in finance and has over 30-years’ experience running her own firm. 

She light-heartedly calls herself the "Money Lady" and focuses on business owners achieving profitability.
