Meet the lenders after the presentations in small virtual breakout rooms. There will be one for startups, another for existing businesses. You can choose to attend one or both.

About the speakers

katz headshot Carolyn Katz was formerly a banker , a venture capital investor and consultant specializing in media, tech and communication companies; founder of an ePublishing / eCommerce company. 

She is an expert in financing, preparation of pitch and investor materials, strategy and operations, business plans, financial projections and models. A SCORE mentor, she leads workshops on pricing and funding strategies and the Funding Group; and co-authors its weekly Business Digest newsletter.

The lenders include:

  • Accompany Capital offers lending, credit and education for women, immigrant and refugee entrepreneurs, loans ranging from $500 to $250,000. 
  • Kiva  crowdfunds loans for borrowers who are either financially excluded or creating social impact in their communities.
  • Mainvest. is an investment platform that connects brick and mortar businesses with investors in return for a share of revenues.
  • NAV uses technology to offer more user-friendly financial services to small businesses: business loans, SBA loans, microloans and lines of credit.
