Financial Capability Series: Session 1

Financial Capability Series: How to bring new financial knowledge, attitudes, and skills to the people you serve

Cost: $75 for the full training series if you register now (lunch provided at training sessions)

Target Audience: Executive directors and senior management

What does financial stability look like for the people you serve? How can you leverage the services already offered to provide clients with tools to successfully build strong financial futures and meet goals? Through this training series, you’ll gain access to the Financial Capabilities Toolkit and learn how to strategically use it within your programs to help clients build financial knowledge, change attitudes around money, and improve financial management skills. The Toolkit can also help you work toward trackable outcomes that show real evidence of changed behaviors and improved life conditions. Ten MA Community Action Agencies are already on board; this is your chance to join your peers and explore how to integrate and implement financial capability services into existing services and programs.

Offered in partnership with CFED, this comprehensive Winter/Spring training series includes:

  • Two onsite training sessions – February 28 and April 11
  • Financial Capability Toolkit
  • Bi-weekly check-in calls/site visits in between the training sessions
  • Assessment of your organization’s existing financial capability services and readiness to further integrate these services into your programs
