Joel Wright, DPT, BSc(PT), BBA
VP of Operations
Therapy Management Corporation (TMC)
Joel is a licensed physical therapist with more than 20 years’ experience in post-acute clinical management experience. Prior to studying Physical Therapy, he received his degree in Business Administration and worked for two years in an accounting firm. Much of the direction in his career has come from the merging of these two professions.
Joining TMC in 2000 as a Regional Director of Operations he was responsible for their business in Mississippi. Four years into his career at TMC, he started developing what would later become TMC’s proprietary software system. This system started as a management information system but later grew into a billing and documentation system. It has become one of TMC’s most significant competitive advantages. It has allowed TMC to adapt quickly in a changing industry. In 2013, Joel was promoted to his current position as VP of Operations. He is responsible for over 300 contracts throughout the United States.
Joel earned his Business Administration Degree from the University of New Brunswick in 1989. He received his Bachelor of Science(Physiotherapy) degree from Dalhousie University in 1995. In 2007 he received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Mississippi.
