About This Session
If you are starting or running a small business, you need to keep track of the numbers to find out how you are doing. This "Accounting 101" overview gets you started with understanding the basic accounting concepts. Prepared by experts in a language the small business person can understand, this workshop will teach you a straightforward way to keep score with respect to the financial performance and condition of your business. In this "hands on" workshop, you will learn the fundamentals of financial statements and how they are prepared.
Presenters
Ann Hargraves is a SCORE counselor and has presented this session many times over the past several years. She is a CPA, and has also earned an MBA from the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. She has held senior financial positions in both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations.
Susan Davidson is a SCORE Counselor who, after 20 years in commercial banking, spent 14 years in sales and marketing for an Upper Valley software start-up, followed by a few years in data licensing for a major digital map provider. In addition she has run her own micro business.
Fee
The fee for this workshop is $30. If you invite your spouse or business partner to attend as your guest, the fee for the two of you would be $45. Registration for Veterans and their guests is FREE.
