Be Profitable: Understand Your Financial Statements

About This Session

Understanding and interpreting financial statements to help make good business decisions is the focus of this workshop. The workshop will include a brief overview of the income statement and the balance sheet, followed by a discussion of the use of financial ratios, fixed and variable costs, and breakeven analysis.

There will also be examples and exercises using these tools to make profitability decisions. The workshop will conclude with a review of the key elements of managing cash flow.

Presenters

Dick Meyer has worked as an independent management consultant operating as an Associate of the Forum Corporation. He has over thirty years experience as a designer and facilitator of customized leadership, sales, and customer-focused learning systems.

Stuart Pompian has been a venture capitalist for over 20 years during which time he has been an early-stage investor in several companies that became public or were acquired by larger companies. He is also a founder and Chief Financial Officer of Dartware, LLC, a developer of network management software and the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer of two small manufacturing turnarounds. His experience includes strategic planning, marketing, and sales, and as an engineer in defense-related companies.

Fee

The fee for this workshop is $30. If you invite your spouse or business partner to attend as your guest, the fee for the two of you would be $45. Veterans are FREE.
