Managing Cash Flow for Small Business Success

About This Session

In business, as in life more generally, cash is king; run out of it and you are dead!  Well, not literally, but certainly figuratively.  This seminar addresses managing your business from a cash-flow perspective.  It delves more deeply into the financial statements that you learned about in the preceding seminars, and introduces you to concepts such as working capital, inventory and receivables turnover, debt capacity, and other important financial management matters.  Finally, it addresses how to approach suppliers, customers, and lenders from the perspective of successfully managing your cash flow.

Presenter

Morris McInnes is Professor Emeritus, and formerly Dean for Academic Affairs, at Sawyer Business School, where he taught for almost 30 years, retiring June 2013.  He also taught for almost 40 years at the MIT Sloan School of Management, ten years on the full time faculty as head of the accounting area, and then as a visiting professor and lecturer on the Greater Boston Executive Program.

The fee for this workshop is $30.  If you bring a spouse or business partner as a guest, the two of you can attend for $45.
