With one in every four women experiencing domestic abuse it’s important for corporations to be aware when it’s happening to members of their workforce. By taking a proactive approach regarding this issue we can help reduce turnover and absenteeism, boost employee morale while empowering staff.

Kalyn Risker is the Founder and Executive Director of Sisters Acquiring Financial Empowerment, which is also referred to as SAFE.  She is a Human Resource professional with over ten years’ experience in recruitment, retention, compliance, compensation, payroll & benefits administration. 


Objectives:

  1. Discuss the benefits of developing policies and procedures to address domestic violence issues in the workplace.
  2. Discuss the potential economic impact that organizations may experience due to employees being subjected to domestic violence.
  3. Discuss ways to support employees that may be experiencing abuse.
